MEET ALBERT MEYER
Albert Meyer’s legal career has taken him from defending clients in the courtroom to prosecuting cases for the State of South Carolina and representing the federal government. Today, he brings that experience to his own practice, helping people facing legal issues that can affect their freedom, families, and futures.
A 2019 graduate of the Charleston School of Law, Albert went on to serve in the 14th Circuit Public Defender’s Office, representing clients facing criminal charges. He later served as a prosecutor in Berkeley County’s 9th Judicial Circuit.
Albert went on to serve as Assistant Chief Counsel for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, gaining firsthand experience inside the federal immigration system. His career also included work on the legal defense team of Alex Murdaugh during one of South Carolina’s most closely watched criminal cases.
Having worked as a defense attorney, prosecutor, and federal government attorney, Albert understands the legal system from multiple sides. His approach is straightforward: help clients understand their options and be willing to get in the fight with them.
Your lawyer. Your advocate. Your fighter.
THE STORY BEHIND THE SHIELD
The Luchador of Justice at the center of the Albert Meyer Law shield represents more than a logo. It brings together two ideas that define Albert's approach to practicing law: the pursuit of justice and the willingness to fight for the people who need someone in their corner.
Lady Justice represents fairness, the law, and the responsibility that comes with being an attorney. The luchador represents the fighter: someone willing to step into the arena, take on a difficult challenge, get knocked down, get back up, and keep moving forward.
Together, they form the Luchador of Justice, a symbol of the kind of advocate Albert strives to be. Whether a client is facing an immigration matter, criminal charges, a Social Security issue, or probate, the legal system can feel intimidating and the stakes can be deeply personal. Albert believes his clients shouldn't have to face those challenges alone.
That's the philosophy behind Always In Your Corner: understand what's at stake, stand with your client, and be willing to fight alongside them when it matters most.
